Isle of Wight Festival 2015

I am writing this from the comfort of my bed, feeling a little bit ache-y and tired after spending three days in a tent, not sleeping much and getting just a teensy bit sunburnt. Despite all this, I'm still absolutely buzzing from the amazing time I had at the Isle of Wight Festival. A weekend of great music and copious amounts of dancing, boozing, camping and fun-having was just what the doctor ordered and I'm already planning which festival I want to hit up next.

Highlights included: James Bay (or should I say James Bae?), Paolo Nutini, Pharrell Williams and Ella Eyre. However, the most incredible experience was Sunday night, rocking out to an amazing set from Fleetwood Macstanding just metres away from my ultimate style icon Stevie Nicks. They were even better than I could have ever imagined and the crowd went absolutely crazy for them. The atmosphere and experience was something I will never forget... but I bought a t-shirt just in case.

Aside from the music, the festival was jam-packed with loads of other good stuff. There were endless food stalls, all ranging from standard burgers and chips to the most delicious mac & cheese I've ever tasted, thai noodles, wood oven pizzas and even a hog roast. The choice of food was above and beyond my expectations and I had serious trouble deciding what to eat each day.

Overall, I had the best weekend! I can't thank TicketMaster enough for sending me as their official 'blogmaster'. If you do want to find out a little more about my time and also check out some of the great festival fashion I spied then keep your eyes peeled on the TicketMaster blog for my full reports.

Boho Waves: ASOS x Tigi

I don't know if it's the warmer weather, the influx of retro fashion right now, or the fact I'm heading to a festival this weekend, but I'm definitely feeling all of the boho vibes at the moment. Flares, ponchos, huge sunglasses, and tan accessories, somehow all of these things have crept their way into my wardrobe recently and I won't lie, I'm pretty darn happy about it.

Forget about the clothes for a second though, because I'm taking the trend right the way through to my hair. A centre parting and loose boho waves has long been my go-to hairstyle of choice. In fact, you could say I'm guilty of wearing it day in, day out. I'm a low maintenance kinda girl and once I find a hair routine that's not much effort but still looks kind-of-ok, I'm going to stick to it. Lucky for me it just happens to tie in with my new found love of bohemian style.

ASOS sent me a few TIGI goodies to perfect my fave hairstyle. I've found that the trick to long, loose waves is to use a good volumising shampoo along with a smoothing product to create the look of bouncy curls that still shine.

How do you style your hair?

What I'm Wearing to IOW Festival 2015

I am so happy to be able to announce that I am the official blog reporter for Ticketmaster at the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend! I am beyond excited to finally see some of my abso fave artists including Pharrell Williams, James Bay and of course the amazing Fleetwood Mac.

In honour of the occasion, I thought I would share with you a couple of outfit ideas I have planned for the weekend. The IOW festival first made it big in the late 1960s, early 1970s. It’s known for its super laid back hippy vibes and I plan to go right back to the roots of the festival with my outfits, going all-out bohemian with plenty of crotchet, fringing and stacks of jewellery.

For the first day I’m sticking with a colour palette of black and tan. The weather is set to be a scorcher so I’m keeping things cool and simple with a pair of black denim cut offs and a crotchet vest top. Accessorising with a pair of ankle boots to keep off the mud, plenty of gold jewellery to amp up the 70s vibes and of course some funky transfer tattoos – just because.

The second day looks to be a little temperamental on the weather side, so I’ll definitely be packing an umbrella and leather jacket in my bag. Otherwise I’m sticking with the 70s theme, opting for a burgundy suede A-line skirt and a co-ordinating skinny scarf. Throw on a sporty slogan tee for a modern twist on the trend and finish it all off with the same accessories as the day before. Sorted!

I am so excited for a weekend of music, dancing, boozing and sunshine. Are any of you going to be there? Let me know who you’re looking forward to seeing the most!

Utility Trend SS15 #AsSeenOnMe

This season's 'utility' trend is something that I jumped on board with as soon as I heard about it. You might remember last summer my obsession with khaki green began to grow, and it shows no sign of slowing down. Combine that with boiler suits, lots of denim and masculine inspired pieces and you've got a kick-ass trend that's right up my street.

So when ASOS asked me to pick out some pieces inspired by the utility trend, I was pretty excited. These high-waisted trousers are the perfect piece for the trend. Lots of pockets and a waist cinching belt, not forgetting that all important khaki colour. I styled them up with an oversized boyfriend shirt and some killer patent slingbacks with a few gold accessories to finish off the look.

I uploaded my look to the new ASOS #AsSeenOnMe gallery. Check it out!

Have you been getting into the utility trend this season? Let me know how you're wearing it.
