London Fashion Week | Bora Aksu SS15

Bora Aksu saw my day at fashion week off to a great start with his fairy tale inspired collection. To begin with the collection featured delicate and romantic shapes and embroidered textures with a feminine colour palette of white, nude and soft blue. The sheer fabrics on fresh faced models created a dreamy innocent vibe that shifted dramatically as the show progressed.

The second half of the show ventured into much darker territory and the embroidered lace took on a slightly more gothic aesthetic. Featuring rich shades of purple, navy and black, with very structured silhouettes, the looks were filled with drama. The standout piece was the bridal inspired gown complete with bright purple veil. The colour was stunning and it was definitely a show stopper.

Overall, the collection was very pretty and delicate, with a dramatic twist towards the end. It was one of my favourite shows and a fantastic start to the day.

Stay tuned for more show reviews!
